Jon Postel died Friday after heart surgery. Postel was one of the earliest pioneers of the Internet, and up until his death resided as the director of the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority, the organization that oversees how IP numbers and domains work. Rest in peace, Jon. You will be missed.
